Cheryl Tall and Her Students Create a Mosaic Mural for Santa Fe Underpass

Encinitas Up Close

Cheryl Tall and her advanced ceramic students had had their design chosen to be one of 50 mosaic panels to adorn the Santa Fe Underpass. The mural will be 3x5', with an ocean and mermaid theme. Cheryl and her students are custom making the more than 2000 tiles that will be needed, so that the mural will have a rhythmic texture. Production has already started, and is expected to take three months.

Multi media exhibition of art by contemporary artists. Included in the exhibition are Tall's ceramic sculptures, Included sculptures are La Reina, GaWain's Falcon, and art teapots and mugs.

Multi media exhibition of art by contemporary artists who are interested in environmental issues. Included in the exhibition are Tall's mixed sculptures, Tallulah, Artemesia with Fox, and Persephone. Curated by Danielle Deary.

Metamorphosis

Artists from the Allied Craftsmen Association were selected by the Mingei Museum to exhibit work in this exhibition, Metamorphosis. The theme was chosen to reflect the transformation the Mingei Museum is undergoing to create a larger and exciting new space. On exhibition will be Tall's sculpture, Casa de Manos.
